Peter Doohan (born 2 May 1961) is a former tennis player from Australia, who won one singles title (1984, Adelaide) and five doubles titles during his career. The right-hander reached his highest ATP singles ranking of World No. 43 in August 1987. He currently resides in Nelson Bay, Australia. He is best known for unexpectedly ousting two-time defending champion and top-seeded Boris Becker from the second round of Wimbledon in 1987, earning himself the nickname "The Becker Wrecker" at home in Australia. Doohan played collegiately in the US with the University of Arkansas, where he won the NCAA doubles title in 1982. He also coached high tennis at Donoho High School in Anniston, Alabama, for several years in the mid-1990s. == References ==
